Voice Communication Module
Channel error protection is critical for robust transmission of compressed speech/audio over wireless channels. CYBIT's proprietary technology corrects and conceals degradations resulting from random/burst bit errors, frame loss, wired channel imperfection, and degraded memory/flash chips.
For speech/audio coders, different bits possess different perceptual relevance. By providing higher protection to the bits with higher error sensitivity, efficient protection can be achieved with minimal overhead, e.g., CYBIT LSC and ESAC speech coders require only 20% bit rate overhead to combat 1% BER (bit error rate).
